Overall very pleased with this dealership. I didn’t end up purchasing a vehicle from here just because I felt like it was a little more than I wanted to spend for the specific used vehicle however it was an overall nice vehicle! Even without doing a deal I was treated with respect and patience!
I have had an absolutely fantastic experience with this dealership. Mrs. Friday helped me get into something I both wanted and could afford. I am a proud owner of a “new to me”Toyota Highlander and she never once tried to get me into something other than what I told her I REALLY wanted. In my experience you can not get a good deal or even a fair deal on a new or used vehicle purchase They are extremely unfair at what they will offer you for your trade in value as well Shop around and you will find a better more fair deal It was worth my time and money to make the drive elsewhere to save thousands and receive discounts off the MSRP and far more value for my trade
DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE! Bought a new 2020 Rav 4 and am now having a “parasitic battery draw” (like MANY others, Google pending law suits). We were told it was a computer programming issue and to bring it up for new programming. We DID NOT SUBSCRIBE to the SOS service but it was turned on anyway recently. After attempting several times to make an appointment for service on their website that, as I learned at the dealership, was not working, I drove 30 plus miles for service. When I arrived I was told all mechanics were at lunch for about one hour. I was given my choice to wait at the dealership or return within the hour. As a loyal customer to get our Toyota serviced at this location for years, we were let down and saddened by how we were treated today. Driving over an hour to get a walk-in service, we were (rudely) turned away because they were overbooked. That was not the problem, as that can be understood, the problem was how it was handled. (But at the same time, if you cannot honor the walk in service as a dealership with customers who live far away, maybe encourage them to call ahead?) We purchased 2 cars from this dealership but after going in for an oil change today, we will be looking for a new dealership for our maintenance and next purchase. During a pandemic and with a big spike in cases last week in Cheboygan, almost no one who works there was wearing a mask. The guy who approached me pulled up a gator and a couple of others had masks over their mouths only, leaving their noses uncovered but that was literally it. Neighbor and I set to lease Ford truck from Fernelius Ford and Ram truck from Fernelius Toyota. First Ford lease terms were confirmed by email and phone prior to arrival. Paperwork was being signed when it was noticed the term of the lease was 2 years not 3 as previously agreed upon. When noticed the dealer suggested it was a mistake. Stay away from this dealer. Service dept is not trust worthy. Very disappointing experience. Parts dept is fine but sales and service is horrible. Service and sales is not customer oriented.
Excellent service and great facility. Curt and Lee Ann are world class professionals. Curt went above and beyond to find the specific car I wanted. We came to find out that loaded RAV4 Hybrid are hard to find in Northern Michigan. However, Curt hit a homerun for me. Lee Ann in finance is awesome as well. Both these folks are excellent. The food in the lobby is delicious and an excellent amenity. Love my new car.
Made appointment for 11 am. 2 1/2 hrs. Later, they finally finished, not because it took them that long. They started at 2 pm. A number of people who came later were taken care of first. So much for appointments.
I scheduled warranty work on my Toyota 4Runner early in the morning. The staff told me it would likely take a few hours. Due to my location in the Upper Peninsula, they arranged for a rental vehicle and told me I could return the following day. My vehicle was ready as promised and I was on my way. Ryan in the service department was awesome and handled all the details. This is a very nice facility and I would recommend it to anyone. Great job!
The dealership is clean, bright, and has that wonderful Libby's Cafe in it. The dealership is friendly, competent in the service department (I haven't utilized the sales section), prompt and courteous. I'm happy to be there. I also have used their detailing service and was very impressed with the thoroughness of the work done, and the impeccable appearance of the car once it was detailed. Great work.
When I moved here three years ago I asked many people about the service performed at for Nelius, I was told it was less than stellar. I decided to give it a chance anyway and now I’m sorry I did. This is not the first problem I’ve had with service provided at this dealership, I will not be returning here, and I will not recommend this dealership to anyone else

Quick in and out, friendly staff and willing to talk to you. I did have warranty work done, but they still were happy do complete the work.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful, my car got fixed in a very short amount of time. Also the people took it upon themself to order more parts for different recalls I didn't know about. Which I thought was extremly nice. They also informed me (with no extra charge) my breaks and roators need to be done. I will defintally considered taking my veichle here more often.
Salesperson showed up quickly to ask if there was anything he could help with tried to take care of us and are questions and not long wait dealing with paperwork

Fernelius Toyota located my 2015 Tundra TRD Pro black on black in just a few short months, something no dealers in and around Grand Rapids could do. The truck is every bit that described in all the magazines and media. Going from a totally satisfied owner of a 2011 Tundra Rock Warrior to the TRD Pro is amazing. I applaud Dave Fernelius and his team for hunting this truck down for me and making my experience with them once again enjoyable.

We brought our RAV4 in for yet another recall, the second one for the same problem. They waited close to a year, from our first notification of this recall, before finally bringing our car in to be fixed. In the meantime, another part failed on our car, as a result of this problem not being fixed when it should have been. They, of course, refuse to fix this secondary problem. We had a very good experience at this dealership. We bought a Toyota Corolla 4 years ago and loved it. The Corolla was totaled a few weeks ago in a rollover accident. We had such a good experience with the Corolla we decided to stick with Toyota even though it was more expensive than a Hyundai Sonata. This time we decided to go a little bigger and bought a Camry. I hope we will like it as much as the Corolla. So far we love it!

The staff is kind, patient and friendly. Curt listened to what we needed, then what we wanted and he made it happen. The new building is amazing. We had to take our kids with us and the kids room and pond kept them occupied! Kris that handled the finances was great! Curt and Kris treated our kids as if they were supposed to be there!
